Jan Kulík (1800-1872) ranks amond the elite of the 19th century Prague violin makers. His instruments were often made with incredible precision following the designs of Italian masters, their scrolls are the best within Prague School. The viola arround 1870 is in the very good condition. It is very good preserved including the varnish. The viola bears the label of his son-in-law, who took over his workshop:"Antonius Sitt ad formam Stradiuarii fecit Pragae 1874.". LOB: 400 mm.
