Johann Georg Hellmer (1687 - 1770) was a pupil of Thomas Edlinger (1662 - 1729). He was one of the best violin maker in Prague in the 18th century. The mentioned violin is typical of this master and represents a top Prague violin makers school. The violin is in the very good condition. The grafted neck. Labeled: "Joannes Georgius Hellmer Pragenfis me fecit 1705". LOB: 35,8 cm.
